  • Check all links on the site to ensure they aren't pointing to pages/documents on research.gatech.edu that have moved.
  • Ensure links to news stories point to news.research
  • Google Analytics Account is set up
  • GA4 ID added to Google Analytic module in Drupal site
  • People, News, Events all Feeds tested and working on site and external sites
  • Plesk hosting setup, if not using for build
  • URL Alias timing set up with OIT if needed
  • Mobile testing - ask everyone for help, different phone types
  • Speed testing
  • Accessibility testing

  • Confirm Drupal account access for editors
  • Open channel in teams with lead stakeholder (if not a comms manager)
  • Is any training required
  • Google Programmable Search - set up and add site to GPS
  • Check Trusted Site in settings.php
  • Make sure Free Update is FALSE
  • Pre-launch meeting (5 min to cover last minute concerns)
  • Microsoft Clarity setup (post launch) REMINDER: clarity code goes in js/clarity.js (file must be created).
  • Post Launch meeting. (15 minutes for lessons learned and feedback)

Each one of those need attention when an IRI launches a new stand-alone site or we bring on a new IRI.

 

Also, with new IRIs, the verbiage needs to be updated to reflect the number count change.

  • The newsletter block also has an IRI number count that will need to change
  • The Contact page also includes verbiage with an IRI number count
  • YouTube description 

I am going to check our other social accounts today to determine if similar IRI numbers are mentioned in their respective about sections.

Day of Launch Checklist

  • Add to Google Programmable Search (multi-site search)
  • Double check the Hosting domain Alias. This should have been done a few days before hand for OIT to manage. ***Especially if it is just a .gatech.edu level domain name.
  • Check the Trusted site in settings.php
  • Did you build a redirect list for the htaccess file on research? Shoulda!
